Your Child’s First Visit

WelcomingNew Patients

Welcome to your child’s new fun and playful dental home! As a mom of 4, Dr. Hamze knows how important creating positive dental experiences is to lifelong oral health. At each visit, you can expect more than a regular dental cleaning for your little ones – you can expect an enjoyable environment with compassionate care.

Your Child's First Dental Appointment

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist by their first birthday to ensure all is progressing well. Early childhood caries (tooth decay) can develop rapidly, progressing from the hard, outer enamel layer of a tooth into the softer, inner dentin in six months or less.

What to Expect

Step 1

You'll be greeted by our warm and welcoming team! They'll show you around our bright, comfortable space with lots of games and toys for your child to play with while we discuss your child's needs and any questions you have.

Step 2

Once your child is comfortable, we visit the brushing station for some kid-friendly and empowering instruction about their oral hygiene. We use plaque-disclosing solution as we teach them how to brush.

Step 3

Next we'll take any needed X-rays and get your child comfortably settled in the chair for a regular cleaning and dentist exam.

Step 4

After being so brave and good in the chair, kids get to choose a toy while Dr. Hamze discusses the treatment plan with you.
